Bulletins from Vintage & Retro

We were so lucky here at stallholder to have been invited to AVFF yesterday. What can we say - a real treasure trove of high quality vintage fashion you simply cannot find elsewhere.

Anita's Vintage Fashion Fairs are truly unique - they have a great buzz about them. Fabulous stallholders bring you the best of vintage (none of you car boot tat here).

Beautiful well made fashion, tactile sumptuous fabrics, jewellery to die for (spanning over 100 years), children's clothes and vintage dolls, dolls houses, furniture and yes, dolls fashion. Dig deeper and you come across fabulous accessories from buttons to old copies of Marie Claire, then there's the fantastic hair and make up artists to really help you create that true vintage look. Plus there’s the great venues and finally and certainly by no means least the brilliant DJ that got us all the mood to have a great time!

What was noticeable about this fair? Well firstly there's the real hands on approach - the team really care about their stallholders. No job is too big or small and they really muck in throughout the set up period. They want happy stallholders and nothing is too much trouble - probably why this fair attracts the quality stallholders it does.

But it doesn't stop there - Anita cares about each and every person that walks through the door. She has time for a chat, gives discounts to students, doesn't charge any man that looks like he's been dragged their just to pick up the bill and dishes out goody bags.

Thanks so much for the invite – we met lots of great people – look out for them here at stallholder.net.... in the meantime check out the photos!

Next event? July 03 at the 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill – if you’re mad about vintage we’ll see you there!
