The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of the best food and drink to be found in the city and wider Sussex, with producers, restaurants, pubs and bars, retailers, markets and great events firmly at its heart.
The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival is now established as the largest festival of its kind on the south coast, and is one of the most important cultural events in Brighton & Hove’s calendar.
110,000 foodies enjoyed our 2009 festival, and 2010 will be bigger and better than ever as we’re running events throughout the year, which started with our all-new 11 day ‘Spring Harvest’ festival in March.

During Spring Harvest, the Chocolate Festival and Whisky Festival came to the city for the first time this year, plus local farmers and producers had a bumper weekend at the Big Sussex Market which attracted over 25,000 foodies over two days. Local celebrity restaurateur Heather Mills headlined the vegetarian live food kitchen at the weekly Churchill Square Farmer’s Market. Whilst Beer and cider lovers were amply catered for with the three day CAMRA Sussex Beer Festival at Hove Town Hall (their busiest ever beer festival!).

Of course, restaurants, cafés, retailers, pubs and bars across the city also joined in with special events and menus including Indian night at Terre á Terre, a foraging feast at The Foragers pub, a chocolate dinner at TABLE and a pasta eating competition at Nick & Franco’s Italian Deli.
There’s loads more to come during the year including the Fiery Food chilli festival, Lewes beer festival, restaurant produce growing contests, an Oktoberfest and the biggest food event that the south coast has ever seen running throughout September.

So for a truly tasty 2010, tuck in to the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival!
